I make modern art and commercial direction.

 

Started as a political cartoonist. Then became a lawyer.

After that, design school.

​

Ran a T-shirt brand called Sharp as Toast which honored past U.S. Presidents: "Keep it Coolidge." "Hoover's your Daddy." "Hard. Harder. Harding." "Chester A. Arthur is Totally A. Awesome" etc.

 

Spent a summer in rural Maine with John Bielenberg learning to
"Think Wrong." Then j
oined Wieden + Kennedy; Jelly Helm taught me
to walk in stupid every day.

 

Worked on Chrysler's Super Bowl return: "Man's Last Stand."
"Imported from Detroit" with Eminem. "Halftime in America" with
Clint Eastwood. Gave RE2PECT for Derek Jeter's retirement. Also stuck 100,000 pushpins in a wall to say "Fail Harder" with some great people.

 

In 2008 made a sneaker, "Obama Force One," which toured the world
in a museum show about sneaker culture.

 

In 2012, dressed up as historical figures posed with their namesake cars: "Homer's (Honda) Odyssey". "The Lone Ranger's Ranger." "Queen Victoria's Crown Victoria." "Alice Cooper's Mini Cooper" etc.

 

In 2017, directed Long Live Benjamin, an Emmy-award winning
New York Times documentary about an artist mourning his monkey.

 

In 2020, with my wife Johanna, began collecting vintage flags, disassembling them, and reconfiguring the pieces into new  flags.

 

Been Executive Creative Director at Orchard Creative & BBDO New York,
and Creative Director at Wieden+Kennedy.

 

Worked on Jordan, Chrysler, Etsy, Sprite, Enterprise, Heineken, Dodge,
Silk, Volkswagen, Southern Comfort, and World ID.

 

Living in Brooklyn with my wife, two kids, and four Maine Coons.
